28th-Feb-2006 05:28 pm - Linda Smith
I can't believe Linda Smith has died. She was only in her 40s. I'm so shocked.

Linda Smith:
Having conquered the Edinburgh Fringe seven years running, Linda moved effortlessly into TV and Radio with regular appearances on Just a Minute and Have I Got News for You? and her own Radio 4 sitcom. She was recently voted The Wittiest Living Person by listeners to Radio 4's Word Of Mouth.

Whats your favorite show on BBC7?

Doesn't have to be it at the moment, but (obviously) should have been on it at some-point...

Me normal
Seems that Dave Gorman's Googlewhack adventure Francophile Namesakes is on this Friday at 22:30. Whilst I've never heard this at all, I do own the book and the DVD and can't recomend either highly enough. And as this is based on the same thing I'm predicting good things...

A lot of you probably know about this site: http://www.sadena.com/radio/

But I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that it was recently updated with downloadable episodes of I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue and Just a Minute! Also there: Beyond Our Ken, Round the Horne, I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again, and Kennth Williams. Just thought it was worth mentioning!

16th-Nov-2005 01:54 pm - Hello!
Heya, I just joined this community! I absoulutely adore Marcus Brigstoke and not-so-absoulutely adore Mitch Benn. It's great that someone's thought to start this.

Oh, and the freeview channel numbers have changed - I think BBC7 is now on 708, but don't quote me.

14th-Oct-2005 11:48 pm - Technical difficulties
When I first signed up I got put in the "watched by" group. That was not my intention, I was all ready to come bounding in and make a bouncy post about having another fun place to talk about my BBC explorations.... and it wouldn't let me. Click how I would the community would not show up in the pull-down menu of places I could post.

But now I can! Since the number of people who are watching this community is bigger than the number signed up as members, I'm wondering if that happened to a lot of people. So! I think everybody should come back, rejoin and say hi.

That said...thank you for starting this community, hennell. I laughed out loud when I saw how you designed it. It looks really good...and mighty familar.

I was listening to the program just now, Dead on Red, and got rather into it. I'll have to listen again because I missed the second half; but what I heard was good stuff.

Something about a hit-man and a Jockey and horses, it all made sense at the time. Anyway, if you like that sorta thing, its repeated at 8:00 tonight.
I live for BBC7 comedy! Therefore I have no life...

Hello, welcome to this, the Live Journal Community for BBC7. Surprisingly enough it’s a place to discuss what’s on, been on or coming up on BBC7, as well as what you'll like to see/hear. No limits on program scope, Sci-fi, Comedy, drama, you can discuss whatever you like.

So yeah, Welcome.
